Chaste:

When we pronounce this word everybody first think of women. But it is wrong. This attribute is common to both males and females. Then why it is thought only for women first. There are reasons and causes of these reasons come from males. It is natural in the common life that always males have the evil disposition to get control of a particular woman at sight. He easily loses his control of mind. This practice also came generations after generations with a rootless thinking that man is stronger. But, on the other hand women have another kind of attribute. In the creation of mankind basically there are differences both in mind and physical aspects between man and woman. Speaking of ‘Equality’ today has a different meaning that women have the ability and right to do things as men.  One should understand the word ‘Equality’. Actually there should be balance of approach and NOT SAME is the true sense.

When we speak of Chaste it is naturally blended with women. Whatever a woman is she will definitely has motherly quality within them. In practice we have experience that mothers never go on compromise even though her child did a wrong thing. (Good mothers advise their naughty children in a suitable manner at suitable time). In natural they do not lasciviousness. In strict sense they do not cheat or get cheated. The causes for their faulty actions come because of their motherly quality which is also emboldened with the words from the culprits. Though enticed they give room for ‘extended activity’ because of this quality. The fear sense is overpowered with this quality. We know the modern world has several methods of contraceptives so ‘fear’ sense is nonsense. Further females today lose their character because of influential and environmental aspects.

According to the physiology males aroused voluntarily but women are otherwise. Because of this nature of creation, even before two thousand years the world famous ‘Thirukkural’ advises men not to seek others wives. (Thirukkural Chapter 15). Please note Thiruvalluvar, the Author included this subject for men and there is no subject like this for women and even not allotted a chapter for ‘Chaste’. The subject is given to men to be aware of their weakness towards women and naturally women are firm. But in those days there were harlots who were only women but not men. It was legally permitted. This is only for physical requirements. The family women were respected highly and males tried to abuse were punished severely, if proved. To stress the importance a full and separate chapter was given to men. So, knowing the weakness (motherly aspect and sympathy) of women the males should protect the women. For this males should not think that they are higher or stronger than women. This is a matter with the mind and not physical.

Though today’s women do things that were earlier done only by men, it is not possible in the long run due to physiological aspects. The creation of different sex and gender qualities laid some rules and they should be followed by men and women. If one studies the body facts, then it can be seen that women have a body that should do stationary work

(Sit and work) while men have a body for fast moving work.(run pillar to post). I studied this even from some ancient scriptures also but unable to recollect which. (Any learned people may comment whether this is true or not).

Therefore it is absurd to discuss things on chaste quality blindly. In my opinion it is a matter regarding the mind and if one shows loyalty in mind-wise it is the true chaste. Because of the today’s brutal approaches many women lost their virginity. But this does not mean that they dropped their chaste quality.  

Both men and women should be aware of their nature and protect each other to form a full circle.
